tesla Coolant Delete Manifold
COOLANT-DELETE MANIFOLD SERVICE
This one-time service replaces the factory coolant manifold in the Tesla’s drive unit with a specially engineered coolant-delete manifold designed to eliminate coolant flow through the rotor shaft seal. This modification prevents one of the most common failure points in older Tesla drive units.
Benefits:
Eliminates risk of rotor-seal coolant leaks which can lead to catastrophic drive-unit failure (stator short, inverter damage, bearing rust).
Reduces long-term maintenance and repair costs by proactively addressing a known industry issue. Improves coolant flow to the stator/inverter by redirecting full coolant volume there instead of splitting to the rotor.
Enhances reliability and longevity of the drive unit—ideal for owners investing for long-term ownership.
Straightforward upgrade that can be done by professionals, freeing the owner from future worry of seal failure.
What’s included in the service:
Removal of OEM coolant manifold and installation of coolant-delete manifold. Re-routing or plugging of coolant passages per design so that rotor no longer receives flow; stator/inverter cooling remains fully functional. System purge and refill of coolant/thermal fluid, bleed of air, operational testing to ensure proper thermal management. Final inspection and verification that the leak-risk path has been eliminated.
Why choose our shop:
We specialize exclusively in EVs and hybrids, have the technical skills to handle high-voltage and drive-unit systems safely, and understand the thermal/drive-unit failure modes specific to Tesla models. By doing this service with us you’re not just getting a part swap—you’re getting a reliability upgrade from EV-focused experts.
